About the Role
Job Overview:
The Williams family is seeking a loving, reliable, and experienced full-time nanny to care for their two children, ages 2 and 5, in their Brooklyn home. This position requires someone who is energetic, organized, and passionate about early childhood development. The ideal candidate enjoys planning enriching activities, preparing healthy meals, and being an extension of the family’s support system.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, hands-on care for a toddler and preschooler
Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities (crafts, games, reading, etc.)
Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks with a focus on nutrition
Maintain consistent daily routines including naps, playtime, and learning activities
Assist with light housekeeping related to the children (e.g., laundry, toy cleanup, dishes)
Safely transport children to/from preschool, classes, or playdates (family provides vehicle)
Communicate openly with parents via daily check-ins and weekly summaries
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of professional nanny or childcare experience
CPR & Pediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record
Strong references from previous families
Comfortable with a small dog in the home
Fluent in English (Spanish or French a plus)
Background in early childhood education preferred but not required
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Occasional evening or weekend availability appreciated but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
$28–$32/hour depending on experience
Paid holidays and vacation
5 paid sick days annually
Performance bonus after 6 months

Requirements
Requirements for Nanny Position
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; childcare certification preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in childcare, preferably as a nanny or in a daycare setting.
Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and provide references.
CPR and First Aid Certification: Current certification in CPR and first aid for children.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and interact positively with children.
Strong organizational skills and time management.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry children as needed and perform light housework.
Availability: Flexible schedule; availability for evenings and weekends may be required.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and ensure the safety of children.
Prepare meals and snacks for children.
Assist with homework and educational activities.
Engage in play and recreational activities.
Maintain a clean and organized environment.
